Plugins is a free extension developed for the Google Chrome web browser that acts as a shortcut to the Chrome plugin page. Once installed, clicking the icon will lead to the plugin page where users can make adjustments and either enable or disable them. In essence, it’s an extension that makes a simple task even simpler and doesn’t require users to leave the trackpad at all.

A simple shortcut

Designed to create an even more streamlined way to access the Chrome plugin page, Plugins provides users with a browser icon that can be clicked on to be taken to the plugin page. There, they can edit their list and enable or disable the plugin of their choice. Traditionally, accessing this page was done by typing in a special URL into the address bar, chrome://plugins. The icon allows users to forgo this process and instead, simply click on their toolbar to arrive there.

Like the homepage button, Plugins is a useful and effective tool that allows users to make the most of their toolbar and save themselves the trouble of manually entering a URL every time they wish to visit the plugin page. Furthermore, users can adjust the setting so that the page opens either in a new tab or within the current one. In any case, it makes accessing a Chrome plugin a breeze and as simple as the click of a button.
